Music festivals are so much fun, the music, the vibe, the friends – music festival season is all about fun. But it is also all about fashion and making sure you look good while you enjoy the music and time with your friends.

The key to dressing for a music festival is to make sure you are comfortable but also trendy. You also want outfits and accessories that can take you from the daytime to the night easily at Glastonbury or any other festival.

There are a few must have items that you should always pack with you when you head out to a festival,

  • Hand sanitizer. A part of the charm of festivals in the grunginess. They are held outdoors which means you are going to get dusty or muddy, depending on the weather. Festivals also mean many people using the public toilets. So, pop a bottle or two of hand sanitiser in your handbag so you can make sure you are always germ free.
  • Sunscreen. Sunscreen really isn’t optional, even if you are going to a winter festival. If you are outside you need sunscreen and you need to reapply it regularly. Find one that is the highest SPF and make sure you have enough to last the duration of the festival.
  • Water. Being outside all day means you are going to need to hydrate as often as possible. A good idea is to take your own supply of fresh water to avoid having to stand in queues to buy more.
  • BB Cream. You still need to have your makeup on point during a festival, so using a BB cream is a durable alternative to foundation. It covers your skin effectively and comes with both a moisturizer and SPF protection. Keep it in your bag so you can touch up and reapply if you need to.
  • Headbands and hair ties. You probably have these in your bag even when you aren’t going to a festival but head bands help to keep your hair out of your face while you are enjoying your favorite band and hair times are always needed at some point.
  • Lip gloss or lip balm. Partying at music festivals is hard work, especially when you sing along to your favorite bands. Lip gloss or lip balm will keep your lips hydrated and looking good while you have fun.
  • Pack light. If you are going to be away for a night or two, make pack light but practical. You don’t want to walk around in the same clothes for 2 days, but you also don’t want to have to spend hours changing outfits. Pick a few outfits that are classic, comfortable and will look.
  • Stock up on snacks. Pack enough snack food to keep you going throughout the festival. You don’t want to spend time looking for food to eat or standing in queues.
  • Don’t forget the accessories. Jewellery is a quick and easy way to change the look and feel of your outfit. So, don’t forget to pack in a few of your favourite pieces.
